Mable Sue Hardman

                 Mable Sue “Granny Sue” Hardman, 69, of Spencer, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, in the Jackson General Hospital, Ripley.

                She was born September 20, 1942, a daughter of the late O.V. and Esther Conant Eagle.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Herschel Eagle; her life partner, Oscar Cain.

                Granny Sue was a longtime employee of Miletree Center and a former employee of the Spencer State Hospital.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and William Patterson; two sons by heart, Robert Cain and Marshall (Karen) Cain; four granddaughters, two grandsons and two great grandsons; a brother and sister-in-law, Delmar and Norma Eagle.

Friends may call at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., when the procession will leave to travel to the Streets Cemetery, Little Creek, for a graveside service with Michael W. Roberts speaking.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to the Roane County 4-H Leaders Association.
