Clifford Steven Goodwin, 72, of Iva, SC, formerly of Looneyville, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at home, after an extended illness.

                He was born January 31, 1940, in Spencer, a son of the late Clifford Goodwin and the late Nell Conley Goodwin Garrett.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Russell Garrett.

                Mr. Goodwin was a retired heavy equipment operator and an Air Force veteran.

                Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Susie Drake Goodwin of Iva, SC; daughters, Jean Goodwin of Anderson, SC, Pam Rohr of Apple Creek, OH and Kim Pelger of Ormond Beach, FL; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister, Jeanne McIntosh of Tariff; brothers, Allen Goodwin of Ashland, OH and Rusty Garrett of Mt. Olive.

                Friends may call Monday from 11 a.m. until noon at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, when the funeral procession will leave to go to Clover Cemetery, Clover where a graveside service will be held with Rev. Michael F. “Mike” King officiating.
