Bronzel D. “Bob” Hicks, 86, of Spencer, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007, in the Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after an extended illness.

He was born September 1, 1921, in Calhoun County.  He was a retired employee of the Spencer Hospital and an Army veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Randall Hicks of Orrville, OH, and Dewight Hicks of Marshallville, OH; one step son, Larry Schoolcraft of Spencer; one step daughter, Carolyn Wilson of Spencer; one sister, Dora Jones of OH; one brother, Clyde Hicks of Ivydale; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Ronzel Hicks.

Friends may call at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, Saturday from 6-8 p.m.  Mr. Hicks will be cremated and burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover, at a later date.
